I work for a competing vendor and I've been told, by a new client, that BE Exchange restore runs in the same time backup does. My general experience has been that restore is usually 1.5 to 2 times backup regardless of the product, due to the disk write penalty. We are planning a head to head test but I thought I'd seek input from other BE users. Does anyone know if BE has a special API hook that gives it enhanced restore performance ? I figured we all had to work thru the same API for Exchange. Any input is appreciated.
