BE 9.1 Removable Backup-to-disk help

I bought a High-Rely removable hard drive backup system to use with Veritas BE 9.1 and I can't get it to do backups on a regular basis. The errors I get seem to vary day to day from write delays to "A communications failure has occurred between the Backup Exec job engine and the remote agent". I can't find any articles or white pages that have directions on how to set up BE to work with the removable backup-to-disk option. Anybody have a link that could help me out? Thanks in advance,
