We are having this kind of problem since long time ago. The backup job continue to run after 99%, but the tape is ejected fine. The problem is that the job still running forever. If I cancel the job the software tells me that the job won't be completed.

We thought that the problem was with the tape drive. We bought a DLT VS160. The problem still here.

Somebody knows what's happening?

Thanks in advance.

You have the job setup to eject the tape and there is an alert in the alerts tab waiting for you to respond.

Go into the job setup and uncheck it to eject tape or
Tools - configure alert catagories - media remove and have it automatically respond after 1 min.

steveot,

I made the changes that you told but I still having problems. Now when BE eject the tape and I take the tape out after "finish" the job I receive a mensage: " the job failed with the following error:
"corrupted data encountered".

Final error: 0xa000fe36

Thanks in advance for your help.

Well., thats another issue. Post the job log and exceptions

I just upgraded Backup exec 9.1 to version 10.0.5520. Now when my daily incremental job is running again, it seems to be backing up but after it has done it's job (I presume at least), the session doesn't terminates and times out. Someone any idea on what the problem can be as I do not find any errors.
