Starting on Monday, my HP 7248W, started to just run jobs but didn't give me a Byte count, I've tried to push jobs thru and change tapes, but to no avail. My elapse time will just keep moving, has anyone else had that problem..

It is trying to do something before the backup starts. Like maybe rewind the tape but it is ejected.

Double click the job and find out what it is trying to do - it might tell you.
