BE 12.5 - jobs queue for hours before successful run

Aloha,

New install of BE 12.5 on Windows Server 2003 as BE server, Dell TL-2000 Library, and Windows Storage Server 64-bit.

When I run a backup job of the Windows Storage Server, the job starts to run and then sits in the queue for 40-50 minutes, then starts running and completes successfully in a few minutes. Last night it sat idle from 6:00PM until 4:40AM before any data writing took place.

No errors in the log. The log shows the job starting when it was scheduled. If I cancel a job, the cancel process takes just as long.

All updates have been applied.

and a back of data on the Server BE is running on is OK.

Do you have pre-processing turned on (where it counts the bytes in the job to give you an ETA on job completion)? If so, disable it and see if that speeds things up.
