Hi All,
I am looking for a backup solution for VMWare. I am looking at either getting the essentials license or essentials plus from vmware and BE 12.5

My questions is, does anyone know if I will be able to backup the full VM's with just the essentials license,, or do I need the VCB that comes with the essentials plus license?

I am trying to keep costs down, and would rather jsut get the 900.00 essential license and not the 3500.00 essentials plus...(and before anyone says that BE will cost a fortune,, since I work for a non-profit, I can get a copy through techsoup for just over 100.00)

Thanks everyone.

Well, I was told that the essentials license does have VCB, to allow 3rd party tools to do file level backups, but that the essentials plus, includes data recovery which allows the backup and restoration of whole VM's..
In case anyone wanted to know..
