We have 2 x BD8810 Chassis running the Core systems. One is primary and the other backup.
One of these switches belongs to someone else and they require it back so we have purchased a new one to replace it. Now, we have VRRP issues when utilising the new switch but we think we know why:-
The original BD8810 Chassis is 5 years old and utilises "A" Blades.
The new Chassis utilises "C" Blades.
The Old chassis 4 port 120 gig blade utilises Xenpak's for it's fibre connectovity the new one utilises XFP Modules and we dont have any. So, we have another option as follows:-
Old BD8810 Model Number (chassis) - 41011 - "A" Blades
New BD8810 Model Number (Chassis) - 41011 - "C" Blades
If we place the "A" Blades into the new chassis will it all still work? I cannot test this as it is all live.
The model numbers are the same but I really need to know if there will be any issues completing this.
I cannot keep the same Chassis due to Support under the chassis Serial number.
Thanks for any help
