We have been having issues with a BD where the switch quits passing random VLANs. Generally more and more VLANs drop until the switch is rebooted. Then it runs for approximately 7 day before repeating. Running diagnostics didn't turn up any issues. During the last POR the switch posted the following console message- Memory Size: 268435456 (256MB)!CRITICAL ERROR: Backplane EEPROM has invalid MAC Address. System halted.
Version 7.8.3.5 [ssh] [wlan] by Release_Master on 03/15/10 14:27:35. The DB came up after a 2nd POR. Suspect this is an indication of a backplane problem. Has anyone run accross a similar error post and what was done to fix the problem?
