I have a few question ,
PLS advise my freinds:

1)DSL utilizes high transmission frequencies up to what limit?

2) How many security associations are generated for IPSec tunnel between two routers?

3) What does the aaa authorization command allow you to do?

4) Which command is required to configure a line for an attached modem?

5) What type of a device is required to connect to the U reference point?

6) Which command will display if the IP map is static or dynamic?

7) Which information from a show interfaces display indicates your Frame Relay connection is operating correctly?

8) What is a congestive-discard-threshold in WFQ?

9) Which queuing mechanism allows you to set the minimum number of bytes to be transferred from a given queue at a time?

Best Regards,

Andrey

Wow lots of questions. Can't answer all of them but I can contribute to some of them. See below:

Not sure about 1 and 2 - sorry.

3. AAA authorization basically enables you to limit the services available to a user

4. Basic configuration for a modem (presumably for use on a router's AUX port)

r1(config)#line aux 0
r1(config-line)#modem inout
r1(config-line)#speed 115200
r1(config-line)#transport input all
r1(config-line)#flowcontrol hardware
r1(config-line)#login
r1(config-line)#password cisco

5. The U reference point sits between NT1 devices and line-termination equipment in the carrier network. The U reference point is relevant only in North America, where the NT1 function is not provided by the carrier network.

6. You may be referring to frame-relay here. If so, that command would be 'show frame-relay map'

7. This question is a bit subjective because the show interface command reveals a lot about whether your network is performing well or badly. However I would guess the bit they are referring to are the LMI stats. Here's an excerpt from a live frame-relay DTE I look after:

LMI enq sent 2751507, LMI stat recvd 2750521, LMI upd recvd 0, DTE LMI up

Of particular interest is the LMI enq's sent and recvd and the fact your LMI is up.

8. When WFQ is enabled for an interface, new messages for high-bandwidth traffic streams are discarded after the configured or default congestive messages threshold has been met. However, low-bandwidth conversations, which include control message conversations, continue to enqueue data. As a result, the fair queue may occasionally contain more messages than its configured threshold number specifies.

9. Sounds like custom queuing (CQ).

unlucky dude quite close to passing.

Is it alot harder than BSCI am studying for that jesus the book is just to thick!

My advice is to really understand the debug outputs presented in the book (Primarily ISDN and VPN). These will help you understand truly all the steps that are involved with call setup and tear down for ISDN and the several phases of the VPN process. In addition, you will need to know these for the CIT exam as well.

I've been telling anyone who will listen, BCRAN and CIT are much harder than routing and switching.

On my exam was alot debug question !!!
you are right Belushi

BCRAN is going to be easy test from the 4 tests of the CCNP
But be ready to debugs screens , queuing questions and bri configuration , the last one i didnt remembered to do on the simulator.
Anyway goodluck , and tell us how it was.

Hi all. Passed the BCRAN!! Very tough going though with the predicted 3 simulations, ISDN, Frame and IPSEC.

Good Luck to all... onto the CIT and CCNP full certification!!

Hey andymeadows!
I am going to da the BCRAN test on Monday 12/12/2005.
Can you please tell me what kind of question you had on your exam?
And what the labs was?

Thank you.

Andrey

You will be tested on exactly the technologies Cisco states you will be tested on in the exam description on their site.

As for telling you what the sims are, well that would be a violation of our agreement with Cisco. As long as you studied your concepts carefully and trully understand the "big" picture, you should do just fine. I take issue though with your previous comments about it being the easiest of the 4 exams. I thought rotuing and switching were much more straightforward and easy than BCRAN.

Pass!!!
932!!!

Now Bcmsn :)
50% CCNP already.

Andrey
