We have just upgraded our system to an S8300 rel 11
from a prologix rel 10 ....we are now using EAS with
Agent Id rather then bcms login id's

we can list bcms agent xxx and see the data from the
switch but can not get any data from BCMS vu server if we
log on as client on the desktop or right on the server as
well (just on Agent reports !)

we have done UPDATE from the the server as well as
historical and still no AGENT ID information

shouldn't the agents Id populate in the left handside
the Old Bcms login id's are there ?

BCMS login id :
1150 (new agent id of 2150 - name Anne )
1151 (new agent id of 2151 - name Maureen )
1152 (new agent id of 2152 - name Susan )
1153 (new agent id of 2153 - name John )

The trouble shooting help tips say that if you are having a
issue with Agent reports for non-EAS installations
make sure that:
in the system parameter customer option field

BCMS LOGIN ID is set to Y (which it is)
EAS (Y)
system parameter feature field

Validate Login Id is set to Y (which it is)
EAS(Y)

but does not mention if you are using an EAS install
setup

we can see all kinds of Info on VDN's , Skill but just
an issue with agent info ....

any and all posts would be greatful

try it from the switch itself. In the switch, type:

li bcms agent (eas login id), so if my agent had a login ID of 5718:

li bcms agent 5718

see if you have data there. If so, it's being collected by the switch and it's a BCMS problem. See what you get and post back.

OK, BCMS Vu is a picky program and one you do the initial configuration, it figures out what type of call center you have and never looks for new "types" of information again.

The only way I've found to fix this is the trick the BCMS Vu server into thinking that you're setting up a Switch Connection.

On the server software, Go to Options --> Configure --> Switch Connection. Once the Switch connection wizard opens up, just retype one field on any of the pages, such as the ip address or port. Then test and save your changes. Even though you didn't make any actual changes, the Server will think that it has to configure a new connection and will upload the properties of you new call center configuration.

HOpe this helps. Good luck.

I was able to list bcms agent 2151 from ASA
right on the server PC ....its using a ip connection
to the 8300 it will pull anything
list bcms agent , skill , split with no issues while
in ASA.

I will try that first thing in the AM .....this is good
to know as we have never changed in midstream ie
from bcms login id to an eas setup ...I thought that doing
a UPDATE on the server CONFIG> UPDATE
would show any NEW chnages but maybe thats just
with adding vectors, vdns and so on and not the TYPE of
setup ..

Thank you for the post gentlemen
