Anyone encountered this error on bcms vu client pc? error 8509:The historical database was not accessible via the share.
8510: The configuration files are not accessible via the share.
8101:Unable to lock the historical database (\\bcmsssvr\Vushare\AVIVAGI\histdb.mdb). Another application may be using the database.
Failed to create empty document.

I would check if another user, even a wallboard, has the DB locked up.

Then I would reboot and try again.

If that doesn't work, copy the DB and point BCMR to the new location.

This is one of the problems with BCMS.

If you give the users full permissions of the local folder, and on the share, they will be able to access it the next time they login. BCMS usually does this automatically when the software is installed.

If the users are on a different subnet, there could be traffic routing issues, or a DNS problem.
