I have 2 BCM50's one is 1.0 and the other is 2.0

Both machines want to hand out network addresses. Each time i try and access the gui router to turn it off i get page can't be displayed on both machines. Can someone help me?

In case you care i found the solution.

Each time i tried to disable the dhcp server on the 50's the page would come up unable to display, like a bad url on the net.

Each machine had it's own IP address assigned to it. Once i removed the IP address and returned it to the factory default, i was able to reach the page that would allow for me to disable the dhcp.

So long story longer, if you have a problem disabling your dhcp server on a BCM50, make sure the default IP settings are in place.

hope this helps,

Are you on the same subnet? IE, if the BCM is dishing out DHCP, it will be 192.168.1.1 network, so set your laptop to an IP address just above that like .2. Then try again. I am assuming you don't have the BCM connected to the network, because you would likely have an IP conflict with 2 DHCP servers on the LAN.

the conflict is what prompted the question. my problem is solved.
