Having problems changing the IP address for BCM50e.

When I click on System/IP Subsystem I see the default settings of 192.168.1.2 etc.

Click on Modify, uncheck the Obtain IP address automatically and set the IP address I need, along with the subnet mask and default gateway.
When I click OK, it warns me that connectivity will be lost.

When I re-connect, the IP address is still at the default 192 range.

Is this box faulty?

You must reboot the BCM for it to reconize the ip chg that is a must on every BCM not just 50's

Performed a reboot every time I made the change. Still the same issue.
Even done a level 2 reset, still the same issue.

When generating keycodes for this unit on KRS there was an issue getting the keycodes. Escalated to Nortel, and it took them 7 days to get the licences, they admitted there were issues, but did not say what. Assumed it was an out of box failure, waiting for a replacement to be delivered. Will let you know the outcome.

Thanks

Update on this. It was the main unit faulty. Got a replacement and the new box allowed the IP address to be changed.

Thanks for your replies.
