Hi Guys,

I bought a second BCM 50E off of Ebay to use as a back up unit. The only issue I have with the unit is that the default nn***** username and passcode for Element Manager is not working so they must have been changed. I have tried everything that I can think of. I can get into programming just from the phone. Any idea or tips that I could try?

Thanks Brian

Hello Brian

You need to access the unit via the BCM Element Manager tool. Install the tool via the link of
Also make sure that you have Java installed and add that link into the site exception field.

If you version of Java is greater than release 8 issue 66 (I think?) then yo need to edit a file called java.security and remove any reference to "MD5". I have attached a guide on how to do it.

Hi Firebird Scrambler,

Thanks I do have BCM Element Manager tool installed as I can connect and log in to my other BCM 50 just fine but not this one. I'm thinking that someone might have changed the log in as I tried logging in from the IP address from a internet browser and still no luck.

Hello Brian

There are a number of us who know the process, but we can't tell you on this forum. If you know the BCM's time and date and the M.A.C. details that are on the Motherboard or found on the back of the unit, then it might be possible to help you.

For those contemplating level resets for a BCM that is in your lab you can first extract your keycode:
Here are some regular means mentioned in this forum to extract the key code
Otherwise a paid service would be required.

Thanks,

I can get that info for you, do you want me to email it to you.

For the time and date, are you referring whats displayed as the time and date at the phone?

Thanks

We cannot ask you to email or solicit your business on the forums.

Once you do contact you can ask or answer those questions then.

I edited my post above in case you needed.
