Hi,
We have a BCM50b (v2 UK) and whilst we await the arrival of some ISDN lines we have enabled a keycode for 2 "Int Analog Trunk" in the hope of connecting an analog phone line which I've wired on the patch to the Blue/WhiteRing and White/BlueRing cables of the RJ21.
I can see the active keycode in Element Manager but that's it - I cannot see the line in Element Manager anywhere and cannot make calls from a set.
Presumably being new to the BCM I'm missing something simple and would appreciate guidance?
Thanks

The Blue white is correct the first 4 are analog trunk line connections.
It should be line 61. Look at the active physcal lines in EM it should be there plus line 62.
You then need to assign it to a phone app&ring then check it. Make sure you have dial tone at the block.

Analogue trunks are not available on a BCM 50 with inbuilt BRI. Also on a 50 (without inbuilt BRI) you should notice a telegraph icon on the lower left below the amphenol connector. On 50b the icon is not there. The "B"ri replaces the use of analogue trunks.

You'd need a GATM (Global Analogue Trunk Module).

PS When the analogue trunks are built into the main unit, this is referred to as GATI (Global Analogue Trunk Interface), as opposed to a GATM (i.e. media bay module in an expansion unit).

Thanks, your answer clears things up nicely.

Our vendor is going to swap our BCM50b for a BCM50 together with a BRI-4 in an expansion chassis.
