Hi All

DO i need an extrnal VPN Router to get the softphone active from outside or the intenal BCM50a RLS 1 vpn router IS enough ?

The built in Contivity router only offer VPN to other BCM , not to Contivity IP client .
If your company does not have any other VPN concentrator such as Cisco, Checkpoint then you are out of luck . You just can't use the built in Contivity router on the BCM50a to connect to softphones as I tested. Buying BCM50a in humble opinion is a waste of money. Just get the plain jane BCM50 and buy a VPN/DSL router such as Linksys and you are much better off for small # of softphones or go with Cisco, Checkpoint if you want to support more softphones
