This week I had a 50 lose it's digital set programming on a power outage. The CP kept its setup, LAN settings remained so did the licences, but the password defaulted. I was always under the impression that unlike the 200/400 the set programming was stored on the hard drive.

So I am correct then, the digital set programming is on the disk not on the motherboard. It was only 6 phones and 4 lines on it so I reprogrammed it and took a backup.

I didn't open the unit to look at the drive. The company I work for doesn't replace the drives. They would replace the whole unit and transfer the keycodes and repair the old one.
