Hello, I purchased a BCM50 from ebay. It seems to work fine and I can access it with Business Element Manager. It just has no keycodes. I cannot get the keycode generator to work. I have system ID and MAC address

What key code generator?
Are you sure codes were purchased for that system?
Did you go to the key code field under Config to see whats listed to the right?

You need to buy Authorization codes.
The "Auth" codes are then generated into a key code by an authorized vendor using the Avaya KRS system.....there is no "keycode generator" other than the mentioned KRS system.

If you are entering the system ID into the KRS and the system can't find a record, it might be that the keycodes were transferred to another BCM50. This happened to a customer of mine recently. Avaya said the only fix was to purchase new keycodes. When buying BCM's on eBay it's best to check out the system ID in the KRS before committing to buy.

Yes I was referring to the KRS. All zero's listed to the right in keycodes under config. So Purchasing Authorization codes is my only option here?

Sounds like yes.

Double check that system id number is correct.
Also with KRS try using the NNT (not NT) number on the BCM

I would also be quizzing the person you purchased it from and what the details were below the ad.

Keep in mind too that if it's not release 6 you might have a hard time even finding autorization codes for it. Avaya won't even sell them unless they're for an R6 unit.

One way to check to see if that system ID is even legit is to try to generate a try and buy keycode against it. If that system had it's original licenses migrated to another unit you won't be able to generate licenses against it until Avaya resets it in KRS
