Hi,

I'm having a bit of trouble getting my BCM50 to communicate with Voip.ms

I am able to register my lines, I setup route 001 and dest 9 to BlocA, set prime line to the softphone. (I'm waiting for the lines to work before I move my cICS DN's over to the new BCM system.)

I was able to get the softphone to ring for a split second. I see a few calls came in on BCM monitor. Nothing right now. That's as far as I've got on incoming.

Outgoing I get 2nd dial tone I see the numbers being dialed in BCM monitor correctly absorbing the 9 then the call drops after a few seconds.
I havent been able to get an outgoing call to dial out yet.

Any help would be appreciated,
Thank You,
Al

We need to know how you have programmed everything to be able to tell you what your missing or what is incorrect.

Please post screen shots of these 5 area's:
Telephony/DialingPlan
-Routing/Routes tab
-Routing/Destination Codes tab
-Public Network

Resources/IP Trunks/SIP Trunking
-Public/Routing Table
-Public/Accounts/Advanced (all of it)

1 - Are you sure the received number length is 10? Mine have always been 11 (1+10-digit number)
2 - Default digits in the public network DN length is definitely wrong. It should be at least 12 in your case (9 + 1 + 10-digit number)
3 - In SIP trunking/Routing Table the destination digits should be 9, not 001.

I did change it back to 9 I tried 001

I spoke to voip.ms tech support they say they got 1 inbound call from that sub account today at 2pm
Nothing since and nothing while I was speaking with them.

Thats an outbound call doesnt look like its going to the right place.

-Public/Accounts/Advanced (all of it)"

You didn't show all of it.

In particular the next line down "Outbound Called characters to Absorb".

You need to go to your Destination codes and change Absorb Length from ALL to "0"
Then in "Outbound Called characters to Absorb" put "1"

I agree with this:
2 - Default digits in the public network DN length is definitely wrong. It should be at least 12 in your case (9 + 1 + 10-digit number)

But we are good with 10 on this one :
1 - Are you sure the received number length is 10? Mine have always been 11 (1+10-digit number)

To expand on this:
2 - Default digits in the public network DN length is definitely wrong. It should be at least 12 in your case (9 + 1 + 10-digit number)

I dont know that I have ever played with the default.
I add a new entry 91 then put 13 (I use 2 digit dest codes)
