bcm50 upgrade

Are upgrading the software, or changing out equipment.
If upgrading, the BCM50 Rls 5.0 Upgrade Guide shows: If you are upgrading a BCM50 1.0 or an SRG50 1.0 system, you will first need to upgrade to 2.0 or 3.0 before upgrading to 5.0.

So, which part helped you? Were you concerned about a direct upgrade from 1.0 to 5.0, or did you need to know what level you needed to go to from 1.0 to get to 5.0?
