I have a client with central office and they want to have IP phone setup in two seperate cities. I have never installed voip system but I do have solid background with networks and vpn. Pkg I'm looking at is 4 incoming trunks, 8 digital stations, 2 ip licenses, 2 analog stations, 8 voicemail boxes. Which type of BCM50 do I need to install this setup, regular, adsl router or ethernet router? I would appreciate any help you could give me.

How do you connect to the remote offices now for your data? If you're on a flat network or already have a VPN connection to the two, all you need is a regular BCM50 (no adsl or ethernet versions) and configure the sets to accommodate and you're done.

Give us a bit more info on your current data setup and we'll be able to help you a bit better.

Are you planning on installing this BCM in your central office or at the remote locations?

Currently the offices are all operating independly, but are owned by one person who now due to growth wants to connect the three together. They have no network structure at this time the main office has 6 staff and the satellite offices have only 2. Central office will have the BCM50 and the satellite offices will have one IP phone at each location. I will need to setup VPN's at each location. I was looking at using Linksys RVO42 VPN router at each location.
