BCM50 Templates

Have a brand new 50 patched current and preparing to program it. All the hardware is installed and working with one set connected so the the bus says enabled. When I try to add a template I get this error: Error happened. Error Detail. Device Component isrestarting. Please wait 5 minutes and try again.

I also get it when I try to use the "renumber" feature.

Anybody else have this issue or am I just missing something?

I don't think the set template feature is fully available on the 50's yet. It is awaiting another patch to be released for that functionality
 
That's good to know. It's misleading when it's right there under telephony> sets though.
 
This is the latest patch for BCM50 3.0 template:

I wish I could find it. I've looked on Nortel's website and can't find it anywhere. I have downloaded all of the BCM patches for all releases and can't find that one listed anywhere.

If you have a copy, I would be most grateful for a copy of it.

I just looked for it and i did not fined it. I guess this patch still in beta status and you can only get it thru Nortel tech support for now, till it released. Here is the information about this patch.

In the Australian profile, where a BCM is connected via PRI QSIG to
a Nortel Passport 4400/7480, any international calls will disconnect
after 30 seconds if they are not answered.

If there is a pending voice mail message on a set ("Msg for you" on
the display) and an outgoing call is made on line 167, once the far
end answers the call, "Msg for you", "line 9 called" will be
displayed.

8. Getting "Not in Service" at times when using external Auto Dial Key
Intermittently when using the external Auto Dial, a "Not In Service"
error is returned for outgoing calls.

10. Delay Dial Tone on GASI port
When a Digital cordless telephone is BT Diverse 6210 and is
connected to any of the GASI ports, there is an 8-10
seconds delay in receiving dial tone after going off hook.

Scheduled Reboot Operation
==========================
To utilize the Scheduled Reboot feature, in the Element Manager, navigate to the
Reboot screen located in the Utilities folder that is available on the Administration tab.

BCM Set Template Feature
========================
This feature allows administrators to combine a number of set parameter settings
into a template that may be assigned to any number of sets on the BCM.

This feature provides administrators with the ability to create, and modify and
delete Set Templates. The template application is accessed in Telephony
part of the Configuration frame under Sets.

The complete user documentation for the BCM Set Template feature can be found at
the website. Refer to document number NN40010-676.

Note: If a set that is part of a template has parameters changed via set based
administration or the Element Manager Configuration-Telephony-Sets panels, the
set will be removed from the template.
The user documentation may lead users to believe that this removal is immediate.
In reality, the removal will occur within 24 hours after the change in set programming
occurs.

Line and Set Parameter Renumbering
==================================
Set and line parameters, including voice mailbox DNs can be renumbered using the
renumbering feature.

Set Programming Privilege
=========================
When Accounts are assigned to the Set Programming group, that user only has access to the
Telephony -> Sets folder and their own account (for password changes).
