I have programmed this many times before, however I am now having a problem. BCM50 rls 2 nite service programmed on attendants phone, she is the control set, but when you put the system into nights, during the day, it continues to play the greeting for that time period and not the nite greeting. Shouldn't it play the recording specified in the NON-Business field? If I change the time in the BCM to after 5pm it plays the nite greeting? HELP......

No. Putting the BCM into nite svc only directs all calls to the Callpilot. Callpilot programming decides what greeting to play (day, nite, evening, etc). If your nite greeting is set up to play at 5pm and you put the nite svc on at 10am the callpilot will still play the day greeting.

The Night service (Service Mode) only controls what DN is going to ring on incoming calls, (usually the Vmail DN). It does not effect what greeting Call Pilot plays. That's controlled in Call Pilot and that's why it works if you change the time.

what if the attendant or the company decides to close early for the day?

The Night Service Button is just telling the Vmail (AA) that you want it to answer the lines now. The Greeting that it plays will depend on the time that is set for each Greeting to play. So if I put the system into Night Mode at say 9:00am then the system will play what ever Greeting is set to play at 9:00am.

got ya, so i have to use the f982 and change operator status then to close early?

yes, use F982, business open=no and record your night greeting in non business greeting.
