One of our guys installed the above yesterday, and all ok. Went back this morning, and when they press 9 for an outside line, the display reverts back to time and date.
Rebooted system, still the same. If they allocated lines to the sets, when pressing the line button they can dial out.
Nothing in the system conflicts with 9, he even set up an additional access code of 8 and still the same.
He checked the patches loaded, and identified that although he thought he patched the system, nothing showing. I advised him to obtain the February update from Nortel to put in. I also told him to ensure he downloads the EM from the system.
He is due back there on Monday, but in the meantime, have any of you guys come across this issue.

Thanks in advance

Did you put the trunks in the right route?

9 is the default Access code

Pool A is the default Pool for 9

You have to assign each Trunk/Line to a Pool, it doesn't happen automatically.

This is a Signature and not part of the answer, it appears on every reply.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

Thanks Ace,

All 4 trunks in Pool A

Yes they are.
Just had a thought, when he installed yesterday, there was an issue with the T7000 handsets not coming live. After checking the system, they realised it was set for North American profile. THey then chagned this to UK.

The odd thing is that all was working when they left site yesterday. I have told them when they go back on Monday to default the system and start again. Very basic programming so should not take them more than an hour to complete.

Sounds like a good idea.

I heard that internal analog lines are only work with North America profile , other countries has to use GATM .

In the UK we can now use the internal analogue lines etc on Release 3.0 BCM50

Just wonder if U applied the newest patch ?

I just appplied the SU ( jan 08 ) ver 21.200801-01 for US .
Fixed some weird prob on IP sets .

The readme text also made some reference to GASI globalization for UK, Australia and Poland .

Thanks,

Engineer is going back on Monday and will upload the February update whilst there.
