bcm50 restore failing

Hi, we had a bcm hard drive crap out so we changed it out. We are trying to restore from some old backup files, or atleast I think they are the files. We are trying to restore from .TAR files, is this the bcm backup files? We are getting an error saying backup not restorable.

He'd needs to have the same patches installed as backup

You must apply the patches first then do the restore

Had this before and as soon as I applied the patches the restore worked

I tend to find that if you didn't know what patches had been applied, then load in the keycode first, then apply the latest patches and desktop patch. Do a reboot of the BCM after the keycode, and system patches have been installed. Only then would I consider trying a restore. Even then, I'd only certain parts such as the core telephony and call pilot.

Only restore the security one if you are certain that you know the account and password.
