I'm trying to setup a remote worker phone (1140e). It register fine but there is no audio on both ways unless i put my Bcm50 in DMZ on my Asus router then the audio works fine both ways.
Of course i don't want to leave the Bcm50 exposed on the net so wondering which ports need to be opened.

Yo G!

Start with just these opened for IP sets:
UDP
7000-7002
30000 to 30099

TCP - Programming & Support
22 SSH
443 HTTP
5989 BEM (Business Communications Manager)
60001 BCM MONITOR

UDP - Communication
7000-7002 - UnisTIM Signaling, Echo, Firmware & Registration
20000 - 20255 Voice Path - IP Trunks (use only if 28000-28511 is exhausted)
28000 - 28511 Voice Path - IP Trunks
30000 – 30099 Voice Path RTP - IP Sets (on BCM 450 use 30000 - 30999)
51000 – 51200 Voice Path RTP - IP Sets (use only if 30000-30099 is exhausted)

Note that you can shrink the port range based on set count and call volume.

I just saw my mistake, ports 30000-30099 were TCP instead of UDP...

That's because i was testing an i2050 as well!

Curlycord, you're right! not sure why i had that in my notes.. i removed it and the i2050 works fine. Have a star!

There is still one issue to resolve...after a while when calling my did number(voip.ms) it does not reach the Bcm50 (looking in Bcm Monitor). It will work only if i make a call from my softphone then i can call my DID and the softphone will ring.( like if the SIP trunks are not in an idle mode for incoming calls)
Could it be a Keepalive option? any clues?
