We have a BCM 400 at the corp site and a BCM 50 at a branch site. The 2 are connected via a PTP 3meg circuit and we are using VoIP trunks to network the 2 systems. The corperate site has the PRI and we want the 50 to be routed through the 400 for outside calls. At this time the 50 and 400 can make I/C calls between the two just fine and the 400 can make outside calls from blocA (PRI) with a Desti code of 9. I have the route on the 50 set up for the VoIP trunks with a Desti code of 9 and an external code of 9 on the route. I have configured the 400 VoIP and PRI trunks for Remote package 5 and configured remote package 5 for BlocA. When we try to call to a public number from the 50 I can see the VoIP line active and the digits going to the 400 but thats the end of it and we get a fast busy after about 15 seconds. The 400 monitor shows no activity at all. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Make sure the route is setup as "Public".. When you are monitoring the BCM400, what digits are you seeing when the call is placed?

the route on both sides is set for public (unknown). The 50 monitor shows 9 plus the 7 digit number. The 400 line monitor shows no lines being accessed (the monitor is working i can see the VoIP trunk when making I/C calls)

And you have 9+ dialing on the BCM400?? What type of trunks are on the BCM400? Did you program Remote Access Packages on the VoIP trunks on the BCM400 to allow access to the associated outbound trunks?

Make sure in the BCM50 VoIP gateway that you have '9' programmed to goto the BCM400..

The 400 has 16 VoIP trunks configured for remote package 05 and 1 loop in pool N for outbound (testing purposes, will be PRI when in place) configured for package 05. Package 5 has been configured for Pool N. 9 is programmed on the 50 to go to the 400 via the VoIP trunks with an external number of 9. What do you mean by 9+ dialing on the 400? If you mean do I dial 9 to access the route then the public number, then yes it is 9+ dialing

Ok... In VoIP Gateway on the BCM50, you should see the digits for the extensions on the 400.. Do you have a 9 here as well?

If you are refering to the destination digits in the routing table for the IP trunks, no. I have 1 route built with a destination digit of 3 (400 DN's).

Edit that so it shows 3 9 (3 space 9).. That tells the IP trunks where to send those digits.. Right now the VoIP trunks don't know where to send the 9, so adding it here will ship anything with a 3 or a 9 to the BCM400..

it's been awhile since i've had to do this but I don't think that you need a space I think it's just for ex. 39

That was the problem D. I needed to build another route for the IP trunk with a digit of 9. Thanks dude!

FYI, you could've inserted it into the same row as the 3..

And yes, a space is needed.. If not, it would be looking for the digits 39..
