I seen one of these in my first BCM50 class. We ordered one. Has anyone used one of these? On the back of the panel is it a connector or punch down?

Thanks,

we have used just a plain jane patch panel. Your talking about punching down the 25 pr amp cable from the bcm right. A pair for each rj45 plug

It is an Amphenol connector. It's actually about as cheap as a high-quality data patch panel and much faster as it is pre-marked with the port identification. If you use an ordinary 24-port patch panel don't use the one with a connector as you won't get port 101. If you get one with punch connectors, skip red/slate as that is the only pair on the base unit connector that's unused.
