BCM50 R6 with IP Phone 2001 "appr only" not allowed

Need some help here.

BCM50 R6 and Element Manager software is version 62.0.0.
I am able to activate a i2001 phone with an assigned DN 222.
Under line assignment on DN 222, Element manager not allow to have an option to change the line assignment to "appr only", instead only "ring only" is grey out.

I am using the same i2001 before on a BCM R1 and is allowed to change to "appr only" on line assigement.

Any input is appreciated.

Because the 2001 set doesn't have a button available to make it appear on!
 
In the EM, under Configuration, Telephony, Sets, Active Sets... the i2004's DN Line Assignment's Appearance Type is grayed out "ring only" and there is no way to change it to "Appr Only" or "Appr&Ring".

The reason I needed "Appr Only" is because when there is an incoming call the auto-attendant will answer the call and there is no need to have the phone ring on an incoming call.
 
In your original post you talked about 2001 sets, not 2004s.

In any case, you should be able to just double click the ring only option and get a drop down box giving you the other options but it has to be a multi line phone (2002, 2004 2007 etc). If that's still not happening, then you might have to reboot or upgrade your EM to the latest. You can get it off the Avaya website or download it directly from the BCM if you have the latest SU installed.

My EM is running 62.0.4

BTW, what line are you trying to make Appear? Is it an analog line, target line or are you trying to put on a digital trunk line number?
 
The other thing I forgot to mention, is to make sure the DN you're working with is actually a digital or IP set because what you're describing is what happens when you assign a line to an analog set. Your only option is Ring Only, for obvious reasons.

Just a thought.
 
It is i2001 phone not i2004 (typo error). It is an analog line on the line assignment for the i2001's DN but for the i2001 phone only, the EM not allow to change the line assignment's appearance type to "Appr only".

I will try an i2004 phone and see if there is any different or just the i2001 phone is not "appr only" allowed under BCM50eR6.

If the set you are trying to work with is a 2001, you cannot select anything other than ring only because there is no button to make the line appear on.
 
I agree there is no bottom for ip phone 2001 to select 'appr only" or "appr&ring".

I tested the same thing with an i2004 phone and it is allowed.

Since the ip phone 2001 used to be allowed to select 'appr only" or "appr&ring" on BCM50R1, my verdict is either AVAYA dropped these features for the ip phone 2001 or there is a bug on Release 6.
 
It seems there was a bug in the previous s/w. Even on the T7100 phone and ATA you'll get the same. Use F85 DND on the phone and it wont ring.
