BCM50 R6, Multi-Image H/D issue

Hey All,
I have a Multi-Image H/D which I purchased from Avaya Direct. I have done a bunch of these for multiple systems and releases. The issue I am having though, is that I can't get the BCM50 R6 image to complete the install...I am doing this directly in the BCM50 (side note here, I know it's a working system because I booted it fully with the Factory R6 H/D it came with). I have tried multiple times, (those of you in the know, know how to make that happen) Here's what happens:

The H/D boots to the initialization point, I go in through Putty on the OAM port and access the menu. I choose the Activate option, wait for it to verify the choices, and begin the R6 install. I will get a few '...' for each section of the process but it never runs the full spectrum like on the other releases. Then Putty closes out on it's own and the system goes into a perpetual Loop.

Has anyone else run into this issue in their travels? And if so did you find a solution? Barring that, has anyone contacted Avaya and been given any info?

I had one R6 with an unknown password into which I installed a multi-image drive. Going in through PuTTY I was given the choice for R5 or R6. I tried R6, but it kept failing as you described. I then tried R5 and it installed successfully. I then accessed the BCM50 with Element Manager and the system was listed as a R6. Maybe there's a glitch in the part of the program that detects the last working software release on the BCM50. Of course I can't guarantee you'll be as lucky as I was in selecting R5 and ending up with a R6.
