We got a BCM50r6 new from our vendor. The default username of nnadmin and PlsChgMe! doesnt seem to be working. I can access the call pilot via the web address of 10.10.11.1 and can also access the command line through putty using the same address.

I can not log into it via element manager or via putty - says password is incorrect. is there a way to reset the password or do a level 2 reset to get back into this thing?

is password of the day something we would need to pay for our should our vendor just be able to get it from them?

You need to pay the vendor if they do not have it but since its brand new and not the default as it should be then it should be on there dime or they need to supply you the password....might void any warranty.

If that login isn't working, then someone went into it and changed it. I've never heard of a new system not being the default. If the person you bought it from doesn't know it or won't get it reset, I would demand a new one and if they won't provide one, call Avaya directly! They will get it sorted out for you.
