BCM50 R6 Keycode won't load

Hey All,

I am currently trying to install a bundle keycode into a BCM50 R6 (NTKC1205 4x8x2x2 IP VM8). Everytime I try and load it it seems to take...but never shows up...when I check the alarms I get the following:

"Problem Description: Invalid software load detected and keycode processing stopped. All keycode controlled services are disabled.

Problem resolution: Include software upgrade keycode in the applying keycode file."

This is a NEW BCM50 R6 bundle...(NTUB4174) and has nothing on it as far as keycodes or patches. There is NO Upgrade Keycode to install and no earlier versions of a keycode that I can try.

I have given it a level 2 reset and even went as far as to Re-Image the hard drive with the R6 image from Avaya...Still get the same error everytime.

I did see a bulletin on an issue with starting an upgrade and it refusing any keycodes after applying a System patch...but this is a NEW unit...Not upgraded.

If anyone out there has seen this or knows an end around I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Keycode will load but the customer gets an "Invalid software load detected and keycode processing stopped" alarm in Element Manager.
Not able to get the keycode file to load. When they attempt to load the keycode it appears to work, but reboot it comes up with an "Invalid software load detected and keycode processing stopped"alarm.

Cause

The keycode file is for an R5 system, but the customer has an R6.
Problem Fix/Workaround/Solution

Opened an ITSS ticket with KRS to get the keycode for the BCM changed so they are for R6, not R5. Provided the corrected keycode file to the customer and it works fine.
Resolution Plan


To correct this issue, one needs to open an ITSS ticket with KRS in order to get KRS to correct the software version of the BCM in the keycode file and on the KRS website.
