When a user on the BCM dials an ext in the CS1K, the letter "H" always displays before the ext number.

I can't remember what that stands for or if it can be removed. I'm pretty sure the issue is at the 1K end because I can't see anywhere on the BCM where I'm sending that.

Thanks.

I see the same thing on calls from a CS1000 to a Cisco Call Mgr phone and on calls from CS1000 to a Branch Office. I'll be working on it again in a few days and update the thread if I figure it out.

something simalar happens when a call is transfered from an AA to an extn on a BCM.
The letter H followed by the voicemail port thats used to transfer the call
If AA answered call and transfered it to a Huntgroup the phone would display H<334.or H<335 etc
If you look in BCM Monitor the voicmail port would be 334,335
So its possible its an application port thats being displayed.

ITs only a guess but that may be the section to look at.

Usualy if you do not have MCDN between sites for CLID you will get H then the DN.

This shows up on the CS1K end when someone just places an ext to ext call.

My understanding is that it is normal but no one seems to be able to expain why, what purpose it serves or whether it is removeable.
