I am working on a solution for a customer. The site currently has a BCM50 R3. He is looking to be able to email a wav file of a message left in a subscibers mail box to that users email address. I have reviewed the docs on the unified messaging but from what I gathered it requires software to be placed on the subscribers pc and cannot stand alone on the BCM. Is this posible for outside sales staff which have no phone on the system just a subscriber box. Any clearification or past experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Justin

You can convert the voice message to a wav in the nortel player then saving it to a file and emailing it.

Since you are on release 3 you can use the BCM message forwarding feature.

You will need a UM seat licence in your keycode for each user to have this feature.

Then in Call Pilot put these users into a class of service and enable Message forwarding in that class of service.

Also define an SMTP relay address for the BCM to use to send mail.

Then define the email address against each user.

When a new voicemail comes in Call Pilot will send an email to the user with the audio attached as a WAV file.

No software is needed on the client PC and the audio is ina WAV witout any conversion.
