Having upgraded our demo switch to R3.0, we have attempted to set up SIP gateway trunks (Voiceflex) and comparable IAX trunks (Gradwell) but with limited success. System is licenced for 2 SIP GW trunks, and I have successfully set up SIP trunks on a Siemens BizIP using a username, password, SIP server address etc.
Westcon & Nortel say that no SIP provider in UK or EU has been approved or tested yet, but surely if R3.0 handles SIP, then they must be able to support it or offer advice.
I'd appreciate any programming help you could offer

SIP should be setup under resouces> Telephony>IP trunk

If thats what your asking

It's only dialtone-VZ

Done all that. It's not SIP to SIP we're after, it's SIP gateway working ie to replace our ISDN trunks with incoming & outgoing SIP lines.
We have a few customers looking at SIP to reduce costs, and upgrading to R3.0 will avoid having to use 3rd party SIP conversion hardware

I think it's just Nortel to Nortel right now.To other vendors in later releases.

Nortel released a document in august for SIP integration called: AT&T VOIP Nortel BCM50 Release 3.0 SIP Configuration Guide
For Use with AT&T IP Flexible Reach Service NN10000-103
Issue 0.9 8/18/2008
I guess other providers will follow as soon as they test OK.
