I have a BCM50 R1 that won't boot. Just sits there with flashing red lights.
Bad HD? Any suggestions? Already tried level 1 and 2 reset with no joy.

Try a baseball bat!!!!

Just kidding....sounds like the drive is toast. There were also a bunch of Rel 3 units a while back that were defective from the factory that exhibited the same symptoms. That recall has nothing to do with your system but sounds like the same issue.

You can try opening it up and make sure all the connections are ok first but it sure looks like a drive failure.

Good Luck.

I like the bat idea. Bad HD is what I assumed. Thanks for the confirmation.
