BCM50 R1 difficulties

Hi,

I seem to be having a couple of unusual problems with an early BCM50. Firstly, no matter what I do I can't seem to get the handsfree function to work on the T7316e phones (it's set to Auto).

On a side issue, is there any way to move the trunk appearances on the T7316e so that they all appear in the same place on all the phones? Element Manager seems to have these buttons greyed out when looking on the button programming preference.

The second problem is relating to hunt groups. I've set up a divert on busy / no reply from the main extension E221 to HG1 containing E222, E223 & E224 (all BRI trunks appear & ring on E221, all other extensions all trunks appear only). Trouble is that the group doesn't ring the extensions! Probably missing something obvious but as we don't work on BCM's all day long we're not as expert as most of you guys!

On the "e" sets use the hard hands free at bottom of phone beside head set and mute, only on non "e" and M series will you use bottom right under Intercom.

Depends which button, cant go on the 8 high up.

You need to into each member and assign if the the HG should Ring or Appear and ring etc.

Hunt groups extns cant have line appearances if you want to forwaed from extn 221.
removed the line appearance from 222,223,224.

Its either hunt group appearance or line appearance not both.

Morning All,

I did have a thought yesterday as I was driving that the hunt group issue might have been because I'd got the lines appearing as well. Thanks for confirming this Snowman.

Regarding the handsfree issue, it's the HF Auto that's not working, in other words, when keying 9 or an extension number whilst the handset is down.

The line keys are all on the lower strip of buttons with the LCD to the side. The problem is that L065 is separated by HG1 before L066 continues. It would be nice to rearrange the lines in order and have HG1 elsewhere. Obviously if the extension isn't a member of the hunt group this isn't a problem!

go to preferences and set the dial type from standard to automatic.
This allows automatic dialling from the keypad without having to lift the handset.

or at the hand of the phone set press Feature *82 and select Auto.

Sorry, already done that! Actually, it won't allow me to sellect Standard from the set preferences in any case.

Oops, forgot to set auto dial for the keypad. Must be early onset Altzheimers!
