BCM50 question

If a customers BCM50 Rls1 goes down and we replace it with a new Rls6 is there a way to regenerate their keycodes? I was told there would be an issue with that.

Probably have purchase the upgrade key codes so u have the rls 6.0 keycode and krs is up to date.
