Is there a way to build a "phantom" phone on a BCM50? I need to build an extension that is dialable off the customers auto attendant that forwards all to an outside number. I know this can be done with an analog port but I do not have any available..only digital. In my testing it seems that this only works if there is an actual physical phone plugged in..otherwise when you try to dial off AA you get a message that you have dialed an invalid extension. Is there any way around this?

I offered that suggestion to the customer as well but it is not idealy what they want. This is an employye that works from home and they want to dial an extension like all other emplyees so it looks as if she were on-site and not working out of a home office.
 
You can use an IP Client and check Keep DN Alive.

Unfortunatly the customer has no licenses for IP sets. Any other ideas??
 
You say it can be done through analog, why not put an ATA on a digital port then? Just an idea.

You can use a huntgroup for this, assign the dn you want as your huntgroup pilot.Create a mailbox with that same dn.Do feature 985 to get the Call Pilot Dn and assign it as the only member of your huntgroup.Program the queue time out to 15 sec and the overflow to your Call pilot dn.
Dont think last 2 options matter but thats what i did and it worked like a charm.Of course max is 30 huntgroups.

 
How about setting up a guest mailbox and have the mailbox give the option 7 for outbound transfer to the persons telephone number.
