BCM50 psu on fire at the connector edge

Team hello.
Has anyone experienced a fire on BCM50 on BCM50 connector at the edge where it connects to bcm50 motherboard?
the connector melted and destroyed also the motherboard side.
i can share photos if needed.

I haven't seen that before, but the BCM 50 unit can get hot if the fan has failed and that there isn't any flow of air through the unit due to the vents being covered or blocked up.

I would have a look at the power supply and check all specs on it, maybe too much voltage.

I've seen something similar. I bought a couple of power supplies off eBay. The first one tested fine. When I plugged in the second one the BCM50 powered up for a few seconds. Then the plastic jacket on power connector melted and went up in flames. Fortunately the BCM50 wasn't damaged, but the power supply was toast and left a cloud of smoke in my workroom.

Brian this is what i experienced , so BCM50 PSUs along with failure they can get dangerous..
