Hello,

I am having trouble sending out the Pub OLI with each outgoing call. All sets have their 4 digit Pub OLI code set. Our telco provider has done a trace on the outgoing calls and apparently only the 4 digits of the Pub OLI are sent whereas they would need 9 digits. I have tried setting 7 digits in the Pub OLI but it will not accept it.

Should I try to change the length of the Pub OLI settings so it would accept 9 digits or is there a setting in which I can add the missing 5 digits so they are automatically sent out before the Pub OLI.

Thank you for your time

Michaël

Are you sure you are inputting the digits in the public OLI under the set programing. It can take 3 to 10 digits. Not under lines and recived digits. And you can not restrict the OLI.

I am indeed trying to enter the Pub OLI in Telephony->Sets->Active Sets->Line Access-> Pub OLI ... and can only set 4 digits.

FYI it is on a BCM50 R1

I have a BCM 50 1.0 in the office and when entering it lets me enter 3 to 10 digits. Either high lighting or back spaceing. Does it give you an error. I tried entering more than 3 digits in the private OLI and it would not accept it. It told me that I could only enter 3. My DN leingth.

When I try to change the Priv OLI it says the length should be 4 (My DN length) when trying this in PUB OLI it says the length should be 4 or less.

CO's want to see 10 digits, area code and number. If anything less than, or more than that is sent out, the billing number or default ANI will be sent out instead. I have changed all of my BCM's to 10 digit OLI, and so long as ANI was turned on the outgoing circuit, it pushes the numbers I enter out to the public.

Dosen't add up.In all the docs I have read it says for North America 10 and united kingdom 8. mabe try a reboot.

Pbxn,

where would you set the 10 digit OLI length ? As far as I could find there are no general OLI length settings in the Element Manager.

cook1082,
Tried rebooting but still the same, Belgium would be happy with 8 I guess.

Here's where I have changed mine

Telephony Services
System DN's
Active Set DN's
(Pick a DN)
Line Access
Enter 8 or 10 digit # what ever applies for you in the OLI Number

Pbxn,

Somehow my Business Element Manager looks different in structure: Are you using a BCM50 R1 ?
I have
Telephony | sets | active sets | DN and line access.
But I cant change the PUB OLI here to anything larger than 4 digits.

<sigh>

I'm sorry, I was looking at one of my BCM 200's. On my BCm 50, I went to the configuration tab,
Telephony
Sets
Active Sets.
This should show all of your active sets in the R hand window. Double click the set you want to change under the Pub OLI section and add/change your number there. Hope that helps

That is what I have been trying to do all the time (in the right place) but unfortunately it doesn't let me insert a number width more than 4 digits ... Is there a setting where this maximum length can be set ?

That I am not sure. On mine I have two fields for OLI in that section, public which lets me add the 10 digits, and private that is restricted to Priv OLI.

You may want to check around to see if you need a keycode for the caller id??

I had this same problem a while back and of course it was on a BCM 400, but I finally got this to work.

I had to make sure that the number of OLI digits matched the number of digits in the Dialing Plan-Public Network- Public Dn's-Prefix default field.

Did I confuse everyone on that.....

Amount of OLI digits must match amount of prefix default digits.

I am not sure where this is in BCM 50, but BCM 400 is as follows.

Services
Telephony
General Settings
Dialing Plan
Public Network
Public DN lengths
Prefix Default

I don't know if this works for you but I tried.

Chad

I think the amount of digits in public OLI is governed by the amount set for public network received digits in

Configuration/Telephony/Dialing Plan/Public Network

Chad,

Thank you for the CORRECT solution ... it works like a charm.

Have a nice day
