I have a BCM50 that I have recently took over admin of. I don't have alot experience with BCM50 inpaticular but have worked with meridian and toshiba previously.
The problem I am having is with the night service, I am not able to turn it on. When I try I get "Denied in Admin"
The set I am trying it on is 221 and it is the control set for all the lines. I have never experienced this ever working but in the office they say it use to work.
I was wondering if anybody had any idea why it would be denied in admin from the control set.

Thank You in advance

Is one of the buttons set to F871 for the night service? You might want to check how the Scheduled Services (under Telephony) are set up too, make sure the the Ringing Svc is set to "Manual" and you have a Ringing Group set up for Night. If this is set to "Off" you will get a Denied in Admin every time.

Basicaly, you want to set it up like this:

1) Under Telephony/ Ring Groups/Group Membership-Group 001(default), remove the default sets (if you leave them, they will ring kind of like a broadcast hunt group. MAKE SURE the only DN(s) in Group 001 are the sets you want to ring when a call comes in on the main Target Line during NORMAL Business Hours.

2) Under Telephony/Ring Groups/Group Membership-Group 002:
assign the VoiceMail DN (ex: 351)

3)Under Telephony/Ring Groups/Line Settings:
Select the Target Line that was assaigned to the BTN (ex: 241. Set the "Night" schedule to use Ring Group to 002 (sends calls to your VM/AA on zero ring). Set the other schedules to use Ring Group 001 (your console phone(s))

4) Under Telephony/Schedule Services
Set Night to:
Routing Svc: "Off"
OverFlow: "Off"
Ringing Svc: "Manual" (This alows the user to engage/disengage the service otherwise it will follow the schedule in the Scheduled Services tab).
Trunk Answer: "Yes"
Extra Dial Set: "221"
Restriction Svc: "Off"

5) Assaign a "Night Svcs" button on the console phone. Use F*3, then assaign F871 to the desired button.

Hope this helps.

Thank You gabber4858 for your quick response :)
That worked,
night service was set to off not manual.( I should have noticed that)
I changed it to manual and it worked perfectly.
This was my first post here and it's a great site, hopefully I can be of assistance to other members
