does the bcm50 have a modem connection? if so how can we set it up?

It is an internal modem. It uses an extension.

Just enable and you can access it via att ( default 364 ) or assign a line to it . Dial it and give id/password , once linked, fire off the EM and access it as normal

Keep in mind that the modem extension number may not be 364 if your DN's don't start with 221.

madwork

to dial into the bcm50 which application do I use. hyper terminal or etc.

You need to use the BCM Element Manager which can be downloaded from the BCM50.

If the extension range has changed from 221 to 2221 the BCM50 modem ext is 2364

Use DUN (Dial Up Networking) to make the intial connection to the BCM modem.
Then use Element Manager from there.
