If a customer has outgrown his BCM50 and is considering a BCM 400 or 450, can they migrate their keycodes for IP Clients, and Mboxes. Or is it a forklift upgrade?

Yes. They would need to buy the migration auth code. And return the old system after the change.

Is it possible to move keycodes from a 50 to a 450? The only part number for migrations that I've ever seen is this:

NTC01076KC BCM450 Keycode Migration from BCM200 400 1000 Rel 4.0 Authorization Code

I didn't think it was possible to move keycodes from a 50 to anything else other than another BCM 50.

I'm doing a walk thru with the customer on Monday. Can anyone verify cook's or biv's response. In my experience, both are very knowledgeable. I just can't look stupid on Monday.

This solution allows migration of purchased software licenses from any BCM1000, BCM200 or BCM400 to another
BCM1000, BCM200 or BCM400 system. The benefits of this enhanced level of investment protection can now be
combined with the recently announced second half 2007 "My Business" SMB incentive programs that include attractive
rebates on the purchase of a new BCM system. For example, a customer wishing to migrate from an End of Life
BCM1000 platform can now purchase a new BCM200 or BCM400 system and the new Keycode Migration Authorization
Code, thereby qualifying for a lump sum program rebate on the new system while preserving their previous investment in
enabled keycodes.

It doesn't look as if the 50 or 450 is included but it does say they are looking in to it. This doc is from July-2007 and from Nortels site.

I just checked our parts and price list and the only migration code I see is for BCM200/400/1000 R4.0 to BCM450.

So I would imagine there isn't one for the 50 as yet. Would make sense if there was though.

That's bogus that there isn't one for the BCM50. I appreciate all your help.
