anyone try to reset a BCM50 with the little pinhole next to the music input?
I have tried to reset 2 different BCM50's (same hardrive) with this method and it didn't do a thing.

Just curious if this method has worked for anyone else.

password has changed and I cannot log into EM so I wanted to blow away the system to default.

Trying to avoid calling nortel.

Yes it does work but you need to follow a sequence with the lights as you press the button. I forget what it was but I think you can find it from the docs on one of the BCM's you log into.

Also make sure you have any codes that are loaded on the system because you will have to put them back in.

Perform a Level 1 reset.
power up the bcm
wait 5 seconds for the orange power led to flash.
press reset button once for level 1 reset.
wait 5 seconds for the 2 leds to go red and when the power led flashes press the reset button again.

the system will go into level 1 reset and the 2 red leds will flash quickly.

Perform a Level 2 reset.
power up the bcm
wait 5 seconds for the orange power led to flash.
press reset button Twice for level 2 reset.
wait 5 seconds for the 2 leds to go red and when the power led flashes press the reset button again.

the system will go into level 2 reset and the 2 red leds will flash quickly.

you now have to wait until the system is restored to factory settings.

reapply country profile and keycodes

Thank you

reset completed!
