I have an interesting task to do and in theory I think it will work but wanted some other opinions. I have an install where there are two separate networks and phone systems running.
They are both using screen pops tied to their systems. My intention is to migrate the computers to the same IP range of the
BCM wtih he BCM set to 192.168.1.1 for its gateway. The idea is to have 2 routers on the same network with half the office pointed to 192.168.1.1 gateway and the other pointed to 192.168.1.2 gateway. This way both can use their own IP providers and continue their relationship with the outside world and their own published IP. The DHCP will obviously be turned off in at least one router if not both.
THe BCM will be pushing LAN/CTE info to alll the computers in the office which will all be on the 192.168,1,? range. I'm figuring all computers will receive their info, but each will process out on the separate routers according to how their gateway settings are set in their static ip settings.
Comments or has anyone done this before?
Thanks!
