BCM50 Is not restoring correctly

Hi,

I have a BCM50 not restoring correctly after a power failure. It appears it is loading/restoring an older file or something. I last backed-up to an external drive, could this be the problem? Do I have to back-up the [current] programming on the BCM50 itself rather than on an external drive/pc?
Is there a way to point the restore to a different location?

bcm50 shoudlnt lose programming after a power outage ..sounds like your box is toast..And you are supposed to backup to external device for this reason

ok thanks, the cooling fans have been running a bit loud lately. Maybe it got too hot. Does anyone know where I can get replacements?
