We have a BCM50 that we upgraded to 6.0 and want to use the Remote Worked feature with an IP2002 phone. The phone works in the office with no problem. We had out Cisco firewall configured to forward ports 700 - 7002 and 30000 - 30099 to the internal address of the BCM50. The phone was connected to a residential cable modem and we can not get it to connect. I can see the phone attempt to configure in Business Element Manager but we get an error on the phone. sometimes it comes up with no ports left or server unreachable. We have 4 licenses and non are used.

Are there any port settings that need to be addressed on the cable modem side? Any other ideas of what we can look at/test to figure this out?

Yes, we have the NAT Traversal/Remote Worker license.

I don't see that that option. In System > Keycodes I see NAT Traversal/Remote Worker is active with data as 1. Did the license not load/register properly?

Found it. It is checked now but still the same symptoms. Do I need to reset or reboot anything?

Reboot not necessary. Are you pointing the IP phone at the Cisco's IP address? Check under System - IP Subsystem that the public IP address is correct. This should be the IP of your router. I point my i2002 at my router's IP address and it works great.

The IP address in the IP2002 phone (S1 and S2) are set to public IP of the cisco router. In IP Subsystem the Provisioned Public Address is blank. Just to be sure, does this need to be the internal address of the router or the public address?

Set the Provisioned Public Address to the public IP of the router. The phone is still not registering with the BCM.

You might need to reboot for that change
Open 7000 at remote router to maybe.

I do have port 7000 forwarded to the BCM (I missed a 0 in the original post). I will reboot the system after close of business today. All the ports are only set for UDP traffic.
