BCM50 IP soft-phone keep alive/forwarding

I have a customer with a BCM50. He has a couple of soft-phones that have keep-alive DN activated as well as call forward external. If the system loses power or is rebooted the forwarding still shows active on the phone, but the calls dont forward. It has to be de-activated and then reactivated. It doesnt seem to be a problem on his regular digital phones. Is this normal or is this some kind of bug that can be patched? Thanks
