Bcm50 i2050 phones and CLID

I have a BCM50 with 5 i2050 phones that are used by staff for working from home. They are each set up with their own DN of course but because outside callers know them by the DN of the phone on their desks and they don't want to give out the 2050's DN because it might confuse their clients (its a law firm) so I put their desk set DN as an answer DN on the 2050 set. Works fine for the most part except for the CLID.
When an outside caller calls their desk set, they get CLID while its ringing but they don't get CLID on the 2050 set until they answer the call. Is there any way to get the ip set to show the CLID while ringing without using F811? It's a very important feature to them.
When I call the DN of the 2050 set I do get the CLID while its ringing so I think everything is configure correctly or is there something I'm missing.

Don't know if this will help but in telco under set programing were you set the name or number first another selection is clid set y or n.also in feature settings there are three answer DN positions try enhanced.

Thanks for the info Cook1082. I had a look at both of those and the first suggestion only applies if I have trunks ring and appear on these sets which I do not and the enhanced setting in feature settings has no effect on CLID so it looks like I'm right back where I started. I guess I'll see if I can duplicate the symptom on non ip sets. it's a bit easier to test that way. In the end, all I'm trying to find out is whether an answer DN on a set will display CLID while it's ringing or will it only display if the call is directed to the set's DN.
